Terms of Service
Last updated: March 27, 2026
Agreement
By accessing or using Cue ("the App"), provided by Vegard Lundeberg Hillestad ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
What Cue Is
Cue is a free, personal-use event scheduling tool. It helps groups of people find a time to meet by collecting availability and suggesting the best option. The App is provided as a hobby project and is not operated as a commercial service.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Cue. By using the App, you represent that you meet this age requirement.
Your Account
- You sign in via Google, Apple, or email. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- You agree to provide accurate information and not to impersonate others.
- You may delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Profile screen — see how to delete your account.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose or to violate any applicable laws.
- Harass, abuse, or send unwanted invitations to other users.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App, its servers, or other users' accounts.
- Interfere with or disrupt the App's operation, including through automated scripts, bots, or excessive API requests.
- Upload or transmit malicious content, spam, or harmful material.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms.
User Content
You retain ownership of the content you create in Cue (event titles, descriptions, responses). By using the App, you grant us a limited license to store, display, and process your content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you and other event participants.
AI Features
Cue uses artificial intelligence to analyze proposed times and participant responses to suggest optimal meeting times. AI-generated suggestions are provided as recommendations only and may not always be accurate. You are responsible for confirming and finalizing any event details.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or available at any particular time. As a hobby project, the App may experience downtime, data loss, or changes without notice.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:
- Your use of or inability to use the App.
- Any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in AI-generated suggestions.
- Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data.
- Service interruptions, outages, or data loss.
- Any other matter relating to the App.
In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, which, as Cue is a free service, is zero.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the App or violation of these terms.
Service Availability
Cue is a hobby project and we make no commitment to its continued availability. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the App at any time, with or without notice, and without liability to you.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Norway. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Norway.
